“Arts as Languages of Friendship”
Arts that need no translation: crafts, dance, music, dolls.
A parade of festivals of arts that need neither explanation nor translation: folk crafts, painting, dance, music, pantomime, dolls. Guests do not just watch — they join in at master classes and open studios.
The first festival took place in 2008 in Mariinskyi Park as the arts focus of the Language Festival. In 2010 the parade hosted Ukraine’s first International Doll Salon, “Kyiv Fairy Tale”.
By 2010 the “Arts as Languages of Friendship” parade brought together both the Caravan’s own festivals and partner projects — among them the International Doll Salon “Kyiv Fairy Tale”.
