1st International Doll Salon “Kyiv Fairy Tale”
Ukraine’s first salon of art dolls: works by makers from over 30 countries, a benefit auction, master classes and a folk doll festival on Sofiivska Square.
The National Committee of the Interkultura Caravan presented the salon within the International Parade of Festivals “Arts as Languages of Friendship”; the organiser was the “Peace. Beauty. Culture” association. The programme: making the world’s tallest doll on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the salon opening, a benefit auction, master classes and a closing festival on Sofiivska Square. SMILEvishe volunteers helped prepare and run it; the original site keeps the list of accredited journalists.
The salon became annual: in 2012 the 3rd “Kyiv Fairy Tale” salon took place.
