2nd International Language Festival “Ecology of Communication”

Five days of languages in Kyiv: the opening at KROK University, language corners in libraries and cultural centres, an international conference of language-festival organisers, concerts in Mariinskyi Park.

22 April: the opening and language presentations at the KROK University of Economics and Law. 23 April: language corners and alphabet presentations in Kyiv libraries and foreign cultural centres — Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Armenian, Crimean Tatar, Serbian, Greek, French, Turkish, Gagauz, German, Farsi, Welsh, Kazakh, Esperanto and others. 24 April: an international practical conference of language-festival organisers from different countries at the Institute of International Relations (hosted by the UNESCO Youth Foundation). 25–26 April: the 3rd “Feel the Taste of Your Native Language” arts festival and the “Arts as Languages of Friendship” area in Mariinskyi Park.

Sixteen embassies joined the preparation of the festival: those of Guinea, Hungary, Indonesia, Greece, Nigeria, Moldova, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Iraq and Belarus. The festival’s emblem was an umbrella.
