“Book Gate”

Each participant brings one or more books, and a gate is built from them. After a group photo the books are loaded onto a truck and taken to a village with neither a bookshop nor a library, where they become the collection of a village library. The book gets a second life, and children get access to the treasures of Ukrainian literature.

The first Book Gate took place on 16 October 2008 in the square by the Golden Gate in Kyiv.
