Press conference of the “Year of Initiatives” project
Five international movements declared 2009 the Year of Initiatives — “to inspire people to create own initiatives and to strengthen existing initiatives in eco-cultural themes”. Slogan: “People – to people – with love”.
On 29 January 2009, within the framework of the extended meeting of the organizing committee of the Round-the-world Caravan INTERKULTURA in Ukraine, the staff of the project started to work; on 11 February the initiators held a press conference presenting the year’s initiatives.
During the year the project planned a series of briefings in Kyiv and press conferences in the more active regions, to draw in initiatives of public significance from well-known people and organizations.
