“Think globally, act locally”: the globe and the children’s ethno round dance
Two open-air flashmobs: making a model of the globe together, and then a round dance of children of different ethnicities, in national dress, around it.
The model of the globe was made together by Kyivans, visitors and guests of honour — ambassadors and representatives of foreign cultural centres and international organizations, and figures from the arts. The globe was then to travel the squares of European cities as part of the European Media Caravan.
The second flashmob was conceived as the world’s first staging of the well-known drawing in which children dance in a ring around the Earth.
