Eco-Culture Days in Chernivtsi

The week brought nearly all of the Caravan’s formats together in one city. It opened with the “Earn Your Wings” seminar for journalists in the city council’s conference hall: how a young journalist can build their own contacts with colleagues abroad, how to use the free-accommodation service in ninety countries, and how to join the Clean Channels media movement.

Then, day by day: a parade of eco-flashmobs, “Interact for the Sake of Life”, and a campaign in support of the book, “Book Wave”, on the Olha Kobylianska pedestrian street; a celebration of linguistic and biological diversity, “Language Tree of My City”, in the park; the opening of the week of languages and cultures, “Ecology of Communication”, at the Ivasiuk research library — with a mirror round dance and a translation experiment, “Relay across the centuries. France 1921 — Ukraine 2013”; presentations of Chernivtsi eco-projects and a charity concert for World Animal Day.
